What is a CEENBot?
A CEENBoT is an open-source robotics platform that was originally designed in 2008 by Computer & Electronics Engineering (CEEN) students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
The idea was to create a small robotics platform that could be used in lesson plans to help teach science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts at the middle-school level.
Students operate the CEENBot through a PSX remote control, “bump” mode, or autonomously through uploaded user-created programs.
Students will modify the robots to address specific challenges and obstacles, developing skills in mechanics, electronics, and programming.
CEENBot is open to 4th–8th graders and only 20 spots are available.
