Enrollment will open for second semester enrollment on December 2nd.

Eligibility Requirements

Omaha Virtual School will serve K–11th grade students for the 2019–2020 school year. Students must be able to physically attend the in-person enrichment time at our facility as specified for their grade level. K–11th grade students attend once each school week. Students must also have an adult available to facilitate learning at home during the day.

District/State Policy on Kindergarten Admission: The school board of any school district shall not admit any child into the kindergarten of any school of such school district unless such child has reached the age of five years on or before July 31 of the calendar year in which the school year for which the child is seeking admission begins.

2.     Submit an Application

Please use the “Enrollment-Getting Started” document below for instructions on submitted the Omaha Virtual School application. The application is a fillable PDF, so you may type your answers and submit back to Omaha Virtual School via email per the instructions on the “Enrollment-Getting Started” document. You will also need to submit your student’s latest report card/transcript that includes attendance information.

3.     Review

Once your application is received, it will be reviewed, and we will let you know if we need additional information from your student’s current school.

4.     Invitation to complete enrollment

If your student is chosen to continue with enrollment, we will email you your next steps. This includes completing Omaha Public Schools Online Enrollment and creation of a K12 Portal Account. Please begin to gather the following:

  • Internet bill for proof of residence
  • Immunization records
  • Physical Exam
  • Birth Certificate

5. Receive Official Approval

Once step 4 is successfully completed, you will receive an email with orientation information for your student. Please watch your email closely, as this is our primary source of communication in our program.
